The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank has published a “special report on immigration” which argues that allowing undocumented immigrants the opportunity to legalize their status would cost the US taxpayers 6.3 trillion dollars. The “special report” is in essence an anti-Latino/Hispanic immigration document that characterizes Latino immigrants as moochers. The “special report” was written by Robert Rector and co-authored by Jason Richwine. Many people have criticized the report as flawed.

Wow! Most of us are still trying to recuperate from the aftermath of the failure from Washington to pass legislation that would have required prospective gun owners to undergo background checks. It is incredible that this piece of legislation which was overwhelmingly supported by 90% of Americans did not muster enough votes to become law. Currently, the gang of eight has unveiled immigration reform which some have threatened to derail using fear tactics.

The Democrat Supermajority in California Must Focus on Education

The Democrat legislators have become a supermajority in California, holding more than two thirds in both houses of the legislature. Now, California Democrats have an excellent opportunity to use their supermajority to pursue causes and pass bills to benefit Californians. This is their opportunity to undertake many projects that are long overdue, and I am not referring to tax increases proposals or special bills aimed at special interests. In this article I want to talk about education.

His name is being frequently mentioned, he has frequent media appearances, his point of view is frequently sought after. Marco Rubio has been called quite few interesting names, including “the great Hispanic hope” and “the savior” of the Republican Party.
